Whether you're starting a walk through Riverside Park, refuelling after a paddle, or meeting friends for coffee, you'll find a warm welcome and locally sourced flavours at Woodmill.

 

Riverside Setting, Locally Crafted Food

We’re proud to sit at Woodmill – a historic crossing where the River Itchen meets Riverside Park. Our menu changes with the seasons: think fluffy buttermilk pancakes with Hampshire honey, Turkish eggs with spiced yoghurt, miso mushrooms on sourdough, and the hearty Woodmill Full breakfast with free‑range sausage and bacon from Owton's. Everything is homemade, from jams and cakes to granola, using ingredients from local producers like Deveroast coffee.

In the warmer months, our riverside terrace is the perfect spot to watch paddleboarders drift by. When the weather turns cool, our cosy interiors and wood‑burning stove offer a welcoming escape.

• Walkers’ base: Start or finish the Bargeman's Walk and other river and park routes with a coffee stop.

• Paddlers welcome: Arrive by paddleboard or kayak and refuel at our café.

• Home of The SUP Company: Our neighbours run the south’s leading paddleboard test centre – ask us about lessons and demos.

• Locally sourced & homemade: We use local eggs, free‑range meats and seasonal produce, with plenty of vegan and gluten‑free options.
